About Us
Primary Focus – Our Building on Love Family Grant Program:
Geographic Areas Served
Greater Capital Region: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington counties.
Our Vision: Our vision is a world where financial stability is attainable while facing a life-threatening medical illness.
We provide a temporary financial bridge to local families supporting a loved one facing a recent life-altering medical diagnosis. We focus our efforts on assisting with mortgage/rent payments as ensuring families retain their housing is a priority. Additionally, we will assist with auto payments and insurance, to help ensure access to care. Each grant is customized to the individual applicant’s needs in adherence to our grant making policies and procedures.
We do not pay families directly; instead, our families provide us information we need to process payments to their banks, landlords, vendors, etc.
Secondary Focus – Our Building on Love Ronald McDonald House Grant Program:
We work with several Ronald McDonald Houses including our friends in Albany, NY. Our support includes annual grants to provide items such as gas cards, movie tickets, etc. that can be shared with families staying at a Ronald McDonald House. It also provides grants of up to $2,000 for individual families to assist with essential living expenses. Like our Family Grant Program, these expenses are paid directly by Building on Love to the vendor – not the family or Ronald McDonald House chapter.
