Contemplative Photography Slideshoe and Talk
Susan Meyer
River Bliss Photography
Nature and landscape photographer, Susan Meyer, is endlessly amazed by the beauty of common, ordinary things and believes that if you look closely enough from the right angle, you can always find something to appreciate about a place or living thing. Often, she doesn’t know at first why she is so drawn to a particular image but senses it is part of a greater story that connects us all and needs to be told. Through contemplative photography, she connects with the essence that shines through the living world and invites the deep, spiritual beauty of nature to awaken and tune her senses. It is her greatest joy to awaken and inspire others through discovering and sharing magic moments via photography and writing shared on her blog, River-Bliss.com.
A native of Saratoga Springs currently living on the Hudson River in Northumberland, Susan’s photography has been exhibited at the Hadley-Luzerne Public Library and featured in the 2015 Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor calendar.
In this talk, Susan will describe the evolution and therapeutic nature of her contemplative photography process and will explain how she created a calendar that pairs her images and reflections.
