About Us

CAPTAIN Youth & Family Services, located in Clifton Park, NY, is a grassroots human services agency that supports and empowers youth, individuals and families in their journey to personal growth and self-sufficiency. We are a 510(c)3* non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, helping young people and their families navigate the rough waters of poverty, substance abuse, homelessness, violence, academic challenges, and family dysfunction.

CAPTAIN operates an emergency runaway and homeless youth shelter, street outreach services, an emergency food pantry, family assistance programs, and various youth leadership programs, in addition to CAPTAIN’s Treasures, a next-to-new shop.

An Unbridled Affair Gala is our eighth annual premiere fundraising event, this year held on the evening of July 28, 2016, at the Saratoga Springs Holiday Inn. The event honors the heroes, both equine and human, who have helped put Saratoga in the history books. A large part of the event are the live and silent auctions, and we are hoping you would please consider a donation.

The generosity from people like you helped us serve over 600 families in our community last year. With your help, we will continue the excellent programs CAPTAIN has provided to Saratoga County for over 38 years. We deeply appreciate your continued interest in supporting CAPTAIN.
