PC Support Specialist
To Be Qualified for this Position:
- PC (Windows) experience in troubleshooting - Basic Windows hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Basic network troubleshooting - fax machines, printers, copiers and iPads
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ - Certification or equivalent or ability to get certification within one (1) year from date of hire
- Valid NYS Driver's License
In this position, some of the responsibilities will be:
- Install new machines
- Adds local rights and privileges as needed for local installs
- Travels to worksites
- Terminates local accounts as directed
- Maintains updated PC support training
- Sets up webinars for remote site personnel
- Troubleshoots basic problems, such as printer jams, network connectivity, and fax communication issues
- Conducts audits of physical security for PCs, faxes, printers, and network equipment at remote locations and reports findings to the Director and Assistant Director of IS
- Tracking and reporting out on job tasks as assigned
- Reviews PC functionality
- Reviews the security and access of HIPAA relation information for breaches, lapses, and appropriate access of users
- Assists with IT duties as assigned for coverage when other IT staff are off
- Participates in on-call rotation for on-call phone coverage
- Meets with vendors as assigned
- Provides on call support for PC and software needs
- Performs clerical duties regarding tracking of physical hardware and licensing under the direction of the IS Director, or IS Assistant Director
