Saratoga Young Professionals Network-10 Minutes with Jamie Parillo
The April Saratoga Young Professionals event will take the group to the Saratoga Springs History Museum (Canfield Casino) for an evening of networking. Come out and learn the history of the museum while viewing the exhibits over hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. Jamie Parillo, Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs History Museum, will speak for 10 minutes about the display, Mapping a City: Saratoga Springs as Seen Through 250 Years of Maps. Mapping a City: Saratoga Springs as Seen Through 250 Years of Maps
Mapping a City tells the Story of Saratoga Springs by taking the visitor on a tour of the city’s development from the 18th century to today. This exhibit incorporates over 20 original and reproduction maps along with supporting materials and videos to document the development of Saratoga Springs’ business, civic life, transportation and tourism. This exhibit has been curated in partnership between the History Museum, Tang Teaching Museum, Skidmore College, the Saratoga Room of the Public Library the City and Count Historian’s offices. Major funding provided by the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust. The exhibit is open through December 31.
