Hemophilia Walk/Run
To whom it may concern On May 9, 2015, The Bleeding Disorders Association of Northeastern New York (BDANENY) will hold a hemophilia walk at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The BDANENY will be 1 out of 36 sites walking across the country to raise critical funds in the National Hemophilia Foundation?s largest event dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for inheritable bleeding disorders. To date, the national Walk program has raised more than $11 million to support the bleeding disorders community. Our chapter will be a part of that success! All monies raised on a local level will stay in our community. About hemophilia and other bleeding disorders: Approximately 20,000 people are living with hemophilia in the United States. The most common bleeding disorder affecting women and men is von Willebrand disease. Each bleeding disorder has its own range of severity. Some people have bleeds every week, some every month, and others maybe only once a year. Hemophilia and von Willebrand disease are life-long conditions. Currently there are no cures, but scientists are actively engaged in finding cures and improving treatments. You can support our efforts by: Making a tax-deductible contribution to: The BDANENY, P.O.
